Hoxton-based label, Perfect Havoc welcomed back highly-revered Australian artist Ivan Gough on September 25th with his latest creation ‘No Time To Talk’. Teaming up with hotly tipped newcomers and fellow countrymen, Play Play Play, ‘No Time To Talk’ is a strikingly emotive, piano-driven house track with an end of summer feel. More than just your standard four to the floor club track, it blends big room energy with fetching deep house vibes that – very much like summer – will leave the listener not wanting it to end. ‘No Time To Talk’ (licensed to Perfect Havoc for the UK, Ireland and Germany in partnership with the Australia-based, Neon Records) is yet another exhibition of Ivan Gough’s much-appreciated ability. With Australia being an often-understated originator of compelling electronic music, Gough’s stripes are firmly cemented by his ever-growing catalogue of hits.
Most recently he’s linked up with another Aussie newcomer, Chloe Wilson for their collaborative effort, ‘200 Years’ which peaked at #5 on the ARIA Club Charts and crashed the top 5 ARIA Dance Singles earlier this year, amassing over 1 million global streams along the way. All in all, he’s achieved over 1 billion streams across his works and 11 No.1 dance tracks on the ARIA club chart.
Although new kids on the block, Play Play Play have an interesting backstory that makes them worthy candidates for collaborating with Ivan Gough. Formerly a part of The Potbelleez, their breakout single ‘Don’t Hold Back’ peaked at No. 5 on the ARIA Singles Chart and has been ARIA certified 3× Platinum. Their new project, however, is a testament to their years involved in dance communities and their passion and taste for quality dance music.
