Multi-genred electronic dance music artist “xndr.”, releases his latest powerhouse of a single “No Mía” on House of Sin Records.
The tracks’ foundation is focused around latin tech house with subtle hints of JOYRYDE bass house, and gritty UK house influences. Throughout the drop you’ll notice a constant flow of call and responses between the percussive and bass elements, which truly drives the underlying groove.
When writing ‘No Mía’, xndr. knew there needed to be a center stage element that showcased his upbringing as a classically trained musician. That’s when he decided to give life-long friend, Schuyler Kieley, a call to help lay down the catchy trumpet melody you hear right as the song begins.
“Growing up I played in a variety of ensembles (jazz band, orchestra, etc.) and I always incorporate my prior experience with the music I release today. I remember when writing this track, I had my mom grab her saxophone and I picked up my trombone, and we backed the pre-drop trumpet. Something subtle like that can add a lot of depth, and keeps things fun while creating.”
