#PETERSPICKS: Temple Court by Chef Tom Colicchio
Temple Court is a lush, bejewelled, antique accented dining room in the historical landmark building, the Beekman Hotel (5 Beekman Street, Beekman Hotel, Financial District). This setting provides inspiration for old and new classics created by Colicchio and team that are sure to please diners across the globe. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and brunch are served or enjoy a signature cocktail in the stunning lounge/bar. So many comfort food choices but I will share with you that I indulged in the Foie Graffle (waffle, foie gras, with Concord grapes, peanuts and thyme) as a brunch entrée. It was superb. We shared appetizers of Doughnut Holes (with Pear Butter), Avocado Toast (with Crunchy Seeds, Nuts and Honey on House-made Multigrain) and Mushroom Toast (with Marinated Wild Mushrooms, Smoked Country Ham and Poached Egg on Country Toast). All choices were expertly prepared. I am certainly ready to go back for breakfast, lunch and dinner! The location is perfect if you are visiting Liberty/Ellis Islands, World Trade Center, the Seaport or any other of the financial district’s historic sites!
Until next time……………………………………Peter
