Rise Festival has gone straight on the ‘must-visit festivals’ list here at Global Frequency. Billed as the ‘party on top of the world’, Rise is a ski / snowboarding festival that also delivers a killer DJ lineup to ensure that once you get off the slopes the fun doesn’t stop.

Rise Festival takes place against the stunning backdrop of Les 2 Alpes in France from December 7th to 14th and this year’s event is something special – the 10th edition of Rise. It looks like it’s going to be one hell of a party at the world’s biggest independent ski festival, with the first lineup announcement just dropped.

The first headline act announced is Chase & Status with Gorgon City, Hannah Laing, Sammy Virji, blk., Ewan McVicar, and Bou also confirmed. Arielle Free (BBC Radio 1) lines up to celebrate 10 years of Rise with a one-off ‘Freeze Your Mind’ party, with more big performances incoming from Black Traffic, Badger, [IVY] and Issey Cross. Parties are spread across three main stages (two outdoor), five indoor venues, and one transformed warehouse – the ultimate afterparty space.

The more you read about Rise Festival the more jaw-dropping it sounds – raving 3000m up a mountain, paragliding through the Alps, partying around the fire pits, relaxing in the spa, and plenty more. Even the food is special at Rise with some unforgettable experiences such as; Lunch In The Clouds – on the terrace of Michelin Guide restaurant Le Diable Au Coeur 2400m high with incredible mountain views; Summit Supper – taking the lift to the top of the mountain to enjoy a tempting dinner at Le Diable Au Coeur and spectacular twilight views; and Hommage Du Fromage – an unmissable mix of cheesy music and traditional French cheese. Apparently, guests can sing along as they enjoy moreish fondue or raclette with charcuterie and plenty of vino.

Look out for more announcements to come but this is already looking like an unbelievable mix of skiing, some of the best electronic music artists out there, parties, great food and loads more.

It’s really affordable too. Ticket options start at just under $400 per person including a 6-day lift pass, with payment plans available. Visit www.rise-festival.com.

See you on the slopes!
