RISOTTOERIA MELOTTI (309 East 5th Street between 1st and 2nd Avenues) Offers risotto and traditional Italian dining, all 100% Gluten Free! Dine in a casual and cozy setting in New York’s trendy East Village. There are so many choices of risotto combinations, fresh and flavorful, I decided on the POLLO BACON AND ASPARAGI (risotto with chicken, bacon and asparagus and topped with freshly shaved parmigiana cheese). A truly winning choice! There are alternatives such as New York Strip or Gluten Free Burger, but it will be difficult to not indulge in one of the signature risottos. FRITTO MISTO (calamari) and BRUSCHETTA DI RISO were shareable, delicious starters (along with homemade rice cakes!) and TORTINO AL CIOCCOLATA (warm chocolate cake) was a sweet treat to top off a great dinner. You don’t have to be on a gluten-free diet to enjoy this dining experience!
