When you hear LA artist Phil Good singing on his latest single ‘Everything’s Good’, you get the feeling that things are… well, good. That’s probably because, like in his other work, Everything’s Good is an upbeat, happy number, despite the series of mishaps happening to the poor guy in the brilliant accompanying video. Props to animator Joren Cull for that.
“Even though I’m sarcastically saying that ‘everything’s good’ in the song, I think it’s important to be optimistic and remind yourself and those around you that things could always be much worse,” shared Phil. “You’re still here, reading this on your phone, maybe on the couch or the toilet… who knows. But you’re alive and breathing and that alone is pretty ‘everything’s good’ right now.”
Out now on Elektra Records, Everything’s Good is an earworm personified – it’ll be stuck in your head for days. We’ve already seen this rising star out on the road, supporting Jaymes Young on his Happiest Year North America Tour, and with labelmate Tones and I on select United States tour dates. Let’s hope Phil’s back on the road again soon. We could all with a bit of his optimism right now.
