Celebrated, quirky Dutchman, Mason, has released his fourth LP on Animal Language, Chroma Panorama.
In true Mason genre-bending style, it spans 80’s sex jams, indie tinged house, sprinkled with funk and soulful downtempo vibrations.
The fourteen tracks include guest appearances from the likes of Dragonette, Sweetie Irie (Gorillaz), Brit award winner Jack Garrett and Zero 7 chanteuse, Sophie Barker. There are also guest voices from members of The Gospel House Choir and UK indie pop favourites, Girl Ray.
Mason’s had a colourful 20 year career from his days as Tiesto’s violinist to having a worldwide hit with Exceeder, to working with Roisin Murphy and curating soundtracks for Boss and Dior.
Then there’s his pop-up Kafe Raves held in the most unusual places in Amsterdam, to his disco-soul project, Mason & The Masonettes.
He continues to push boundaries in this latest album and remains one of the most successful electronic Dutch artists around. Listen below.
