Dave De La Garza aka DLG. is kicking off 2023 with an abundance of new music. The Austin, Texas-bred and Los Angeles-based singer, songwriter is releasing two songs on the second day of each month, in what he’s referring to as the “2 on 2” releases.
It’s kicked off this March with “DROWN IN YOU” and “CLOSE ONE!”, two songs that show off his versatility as an artist. The artwork for the first drop was crafted in collaboration with his mother, award-winning artist and designer Joyce Rosner.
…I want to experiment with dropping music consistently on the same date of each month. This way, people will know I have new music even without seeing a post or notification, much in the same way you know your favorite TV show airs on the same day each week.
‘DROWN IN YOU’ is a punchy, hypnotizing track inspired by people like Big WIld & MGMT. Simultaneously gritty & ethereal, driven by hard drums and a deep sub bass, it’s gonna be a super fun one at live shows.
‘CLOSE ONE!’ is fun, catchy, dancy, inspired by people like Dayglow & Goth Babe. More lighthearted, it’s a reflection on the attitude I’ve had this past year. I listen to this one a lot while snowboarding, it makes me go faster.

Sitting at over 500k monthly listeners on Spotify alone, DLG. has already amassed over 40 million streams across platforms and has featured on playlists like New Music Friday, New Indie, Lowkey and the Viral 50 playlists in 11 Latin American countries.
His song “Scatterbrain” played in HBO’s ‘Sex Lives of College Girls’, and his track “Lil Mama” was featured in Peacock’s ‘Bel Air’ TV series. More recently, his song “Inside of My Eyelids” was featured in Netflix’s psychological thriller, ‘You’.
DLG. is also a prominent artist in the Web3 space (in the top 40 artists on Sound.xyz) and will use his web3 presence to cross-promote these traditional releases through platforms like Sound.xyz, Showtime.xyz, and his own company LNRZ.
