Making serious waves is Nashville-based songwriter, Chaz Cardigan who yet again delivers another anthemic, future-facing new single. ‘Middle of the Road’ is a contagious power pop record that transports you to driving fast along a deserted road with the roof down and only the destination in mind.

Originally from the small central-Kentucky city of Elizabethtown, Chaz explained the inspiration behind the lyrics:

Middle of the Road’ came from ruminating on what my life would’ve been like if I’d stayed in my hometown. I realized I would’ve been miserable, stuck in a cycle of debt and probably addicted to something, pretending to be someone I’m not for the rest of my life.

It follows a string of impressive releases already this year and was that written in conjunction with producers Simon Oscroft (Dreamers, The Naked And Famous) and Dan Book (lovelytheband, 5 Seconds of Summer, All Time Low).

By turning his deepest insecurities into wildly cathartic pop songs, 2020 has been a fruitful one for Chaz Cardigan. Highlights include ‘Not OK!’ which went on to be a top 20 hit at Alternative radio; ‘S.O.S.’ which made Billboard’s ‘25 Best Songs By LGBTQ Artists In 2020 (So Far)’, while ‘Everything’s Wrong’ drew high praise from Flaunt  Magazine and was plastered across numerous Spotify playlists.

‘Middle Of The Road’ is out now on Loud Robot / Capitol Records. Stream / buy across all platforms.
