The trailer for Luther: The Fallen Sun has finally been revealed and it looks pretty epic. A continuation of the award-winning television saga reimagined for film — a gruesome serial killer is terrorizing London while brilliant but disgraced detective John Luther (Idris Elba) sits behind bars.
Haunted by his failure to capture the cyber psychopath who now taunts him, Luther decides to break out of prison to finish the job by any means necessary. Also starring Cynthia Erivo, Andy Serkis and Dermot Crowley, who returns as Martin Schenk.
Luther: The Fallen Sun will be released in select cinemas from February 24, ahead of its global debut on Netflix on March 10. That’s plenty of time for a Luther rewatch if you need one – or a first-time watch for Luther virgins. At three seasons clocking 14 hours, it’s more than doable.
