AIAIAI, the Danish guys who make very cool, minimal design headphones, have announced a DJ mix competition: the ‘AIAIAI 2021 Mix Contest’. Launching 26th January, and running for 4 weeks, the ‘AIAIAI 2021 Mix Contest’ gives undiscovered talent the opportunity to join a critically-acclaimed DJ mix series and win some incredible prizes including a $1000 fee, Traktor Kontrol S2, Novation Launchpad Pro, Ableton Live 10 Suite, Point Blank Online Ableton course, full AIAIAI TMA-2 set-up (hd, dj, wireless) and much more.
AIAIAI and partners will select a shortlist of entries and the final decision will be made by Benji B, who co-created the series. In addition to the main prize, other prizes will be given for the most played mix, and the top five played mixes. The total prize value is in excess of $7000. Together with our partners at Point Blank Music School, Novation, and Ableton, with the AIAIAI 2021 Mix Contest we’re giving material help with a paid fee, some incredible hardware and education prizes, as well as a platform alongside some of the best DJs in the world. Runners up prizes will be chosen by our community.”
The competition ends on February 28th.
The mix comp follows the recent AIAIAI release of the first in a new short film series giving an exclusive insight into some of contemporary music’s leading artistic talents. Made available via AIAIAI’s YouTube channel, ‘My Process’ launched with Nubya Garcia, the multi-award-winning saxophonist and composer whose debut album SOURCE brought her wide critical acclaim last year.
