Another quality artist has landed on London’s illustrious imprint, Perfect Havoc. She goes by the name of Kaylar and is arguably one of Poland’s hottest exports right now.
Kaylar’s new indie-dance single, ‘Used To Say’, is only her third release, (all of them released on Perfect Havoc), but already she’s proving she can produce with the very best of them.
Her 2020 debut single ‘In My Arms’ achieved 1.2 million streams alone, and the follow up ‘Only You Could Do (feat. Nuala)’ received a high profile play on Love Island, transmitting her sound into the homes of millions of viewers across the UK.
Quite the enigmatic character, shying away from excessive use of social media, her philosophy to be kind, love music and life is her driving force. Kaylar’s stylish and well-thought-out productions deliver warm and emotive grooves, every time. “My music is about showing emotions whilst also keeping a dance’y element to it.” she says.
AKA Alicja Biatek, Kaylar’s career is on an upward trajectory. With so few females producing this accessible style of house music, it feels there’s a Kaylar-shaped space waiting for her on the world stage.
There’s an undeniable purity to her sound, quality clean groves and deep emotion that together make her a serious one-to-watch. Listen to ‘Used To Say’ below – it’s out now on Perfect Havoc.
