Sharon Brown’s ‘I Specialize In Love’ was a massive track in the US club scene back in 1982, and now in summer 2021 it’s back, thanks to Kevin McKay and Norman Doray.
The two producers, from the UK and France respectively, have pulled out all the elements which make a quality house track. The vocal is instantly hooky and loops in irresistible fashion over summery, uplifting piano chords which filter in and out, in that warm, French house style. The bassline delivers disco flavours and an 80’s sound while the drums are guaranteed to get everyone onto the dancefloor.
In these times we need to be reminded that good times are on the horizon and to remember what it feels like to want to dance – ‘Let Me Work On You’ certainly delivers! This track has taken an instant place as one of our favourite tunes of the summer here at Global Frequency HQ.
