30 years after the original picture , we’re finally being treated to a sequel – Coming 2 America.

King Akeem (Eddie Murphy) and trusted confidante Semmi (Arsenio Hall) head to Queens when they discover that Akeem has a son he never knew about from a liaison with Mary (Leslie Jones). That grown man, Lavelle (Jermaine Fowler) is in line to be the next king, so he’s whisked off to Akeem’s home country of Zamunda to learn the ropes.

Naturally, this causes trouble within Akeem’s family, and if that wasn’t enough, he’s also dealing with a threat from General Izzi (Wesley Snipes, who appears to be having a fine old time appearing alongside his Dolemite Is My Name co-star Murphy).

What we love most about the trailer is that Murphy and his sidekick Semmi are back playing various roles, alongside cast members of the 1988 original – Shari Headley, James Earl Jones and John Amos. And it looks just as funny as we remember it.

Coming 2 America will hit Amazon on 5 March.
